Japan Tokyo South Mission: Shake Weight

This will be short and honestly I don't have a lot to say, so if you don't read this then whatevs but I do want you to know that Heavenly Father loves you so much. He rejoices as you follow His will and commandments and is saddened when you go against them. Everything about God is perfect, His love and His desires for us are as well. We on the other hand aren't... So God must know more about us and how we can be happy than we do. Don't stop praying, reading God's word (scriptures), attending church and following our Savior Jesus Christ.

We had a combined mission conference with the Tokyo mission in Nakano to hear from President Bednar last Tuesday. It was absolutely nuts seeing Elder Judd from the MTC, and Bryson Viehweg & Lauren Riggs from high school! Elder Bednar actually didn't give a lecture style speech at all. It was really cool, he basically just taught us by asking and answering questions. The apostles are soo on point. Bednar is just a beast example of the kind of man I would like to become. He's way funny too, it was sooo tense in that church before he got there, just silence. Then he came in and started busting jokes and roasting us at the same time.

We had some new people come to English Class this week. One of them was a Chinese man, English name is Johnson. He tried leaving after the game but last second we invited him to church and he asked what we do there. I asked if he believes in God, he said, "no!" We talked a bit about science and we basically shared what's written in the first paragraph of this email. He asked us how we know God exists, dangerous question to ask a missionary ;) Bradford and I shared our personal conversion stories. He agreed to read a pamphlet.

Then I few days later I just run into him next to the station, he actually approached me. He had read some of the pamphlet we gave him and had some amazing questions. He said, "so if we don't do what God asks, we get separated? What do we do if we get separated?" Then he just threw in the, "I don't believe in God I am just curious..." You can tell things are already starting to click. He told us straight up that he wants to feel God's influence. Awesome guy, gotta get a pic.

We also went streeting with our ward mission leader who is pretty fresh off the mission but still has to be one of the best teachers I have seen. We exchanged contact with some awesome people together. Meanwhile Kurenuma has been backing out of appointments and missing church, his situation hasn't changed :/
